Memorial Day Cigar

Looking for an American cigar to smoke and write about, I stumbled to find many choices. They included Padilla Miami 8/II and La Gloria Cubana - Miami. They are made in the US, but do not have the patriotic zing of my choice for today.
My choice for today is CAO America, although after writing this article I remembered that I had 2 of the Camacho Liberty 2005 coffins and 3 of the Camacho Liberty 2007 coffins. I will have to save their writeup for the Independence day blog post.
CAO maduro was such a wonderful smoke, although my view of CAO took a dive since they changed the CAO L'Anniversaire Maduro to the Carlos Torano factory (when they also switched to the lacquered boxes)...enough about them. This is a great cigar. I love this great country...God Bless America.

I haven't smoked a CAO America that I didn't like. They are barbershop , pinstripe and very tasty, even sweet, as well as very well constructed. Love that Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper.

CAO AMERICA

God Bless America.

CI and CAO, two rock-ribbed American companies put on this planet to bring you the best premium cigars at the best prices. And what better way to tribute the best damn country in the world than with a tasty and satisfying super-premium cigar? We give you, CAO America.

America is another intriguing handmade from the masterminds at CAO. Finished in pin-stripe format, the America employs two beautiful wrappers: a thick and oily Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro and a flawless Connecticut shade leaf. Despite its appearance, the full leaf of each is in fact utilized. Inside, a robust, 100% ligero mixture of Dominican, Nicaraguan, Italian, and American (USA!) tobacco is blended into an eventful smoking experience. Expect a rich, chewy smoke loaded with creamy, oaky nuances, with a short, but pleasantly sweet finish. Get ready, however, the America is a robust firecracker ready to satisfy even the most savage of beasts! Enjoy this fine cigar after a hearty steak dinner with a bold microbrew.

Take a hard look at the Anthem. This enchanting cigar sports a ginormous 8.5" x 50 frame and comes packaged individually in Spanish cedar coffins. But, that’s not all...18 of these patriotic gems are secured by a beautiful CAO America 100 Capacity Humidor!

CAO America recently received an impresive 90-point rating, which noted:
"A pin-stripe torpedo that smokes well. It is sweet and salty with chocolate and wood flavors intoned by a touch of vanilla. A bright and creamy cigar. Body: Medium to Full"
